We’re excited to announce the launch of the Inspiring Peacemakers Series at The Fab here at IHEID, in partnership with the Nagulendran Philanthropy Alliance, the Centre on Conflict, Development and Peacebuilding and La Fabrique de la paix! For the first event of the year, we are honored to host two incredible peacemakers who will share their personal journeys navigating the challenging field of peacebuilding:
Natasha Latiff - Singaporean peacemaker and international human rights lawyer
Ahmed Abdullahi - Somali-Canadian peacemaker and mediator in the Horn of Africa
Together, they will address the topic: Where and how do we start our journey as young peacemakers in our violent world today?
This series builds on our successful conversations with distinguished peace mediators, such as Miriam Coronel-Ferrer and Julian Thomas Hottinger, which took place last year. The Inspiring Peacemakers Series offers a platform for our students to engage in insightful and informal discussions with leading figures in the field.
Moderated by Shruti Satish, President of the Peacebuilding Initiative, with opening remarks by Ambassador Tormod Endresen, Permanent Representative of Norway to the UN in Geneva.
