Inspiring young peacemakers one event at a time.

Promote youth participation.
The Peacebuilding Initiative (PBI) is a student-led organization that promotes youth participation in peacebuilding efforts.
Founded in 2019 at the Geneva Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies (IHEID), PBI now has over 200 members and a board of 30 who work together to achieve this goal.
inspiring Peacemakers
A series in collaboration with the Nagulendran Philanthropic Alliance, La Fabrique de la Paix, and various research centres positioned in Maison de la Paix, PBI explores topics on peacemaking with high level peacebuilding professionals from all around the world.
pEace cafe
PBI hosts monthly Peace Cafés for our students to meet with career professionals in the peacebuilding architecture of Geneva. The event is designed to be a comfortable and informal gathering where attendees can ask questions and learn about the personal experiences of peacebuilding professionals.
Speed networking career fair
Each semester, PBI hosts a unique career fair in the form of speed networking. Unlike typical career fairs, this event allows you to participate in small group sessions with representatives from each organization, giving you the chance to ask questions and engage in meaningful conversations.
